Somebody Who Cares Destiny Empowerment Center (SBWCDEC) is proud to announce that we have been awarded funding through the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) 2026 Out-of-School Time (OST) Grant.
This funding will support the implementation of Press Pause - The Choice Project: Stop • Think • Talk It Out, a creative, trauma-informed program designed to empower youth through mentorship, life skills, and media arts education during both the school-year and summer OST sessions.

Investing in Youth Through Summer Enrichment
This summer, Somebody Who Cares Destiny Empowerment Center (SBWCDEC) is providing youth with a safe and engaging experience through our Press Pause: Stop • Think • Talk It Out (STTIO) Summer Enrichment Program. Youth participate in leadership development, social-emotional learning, media arts, and team-building activities that help them grow and succeed. We are seeking community support to provide healthy meals, snacks, program supplies, and enrichment opportunities. Every donation helps empower young people with the resources they need to learn, grow, and thrive throughout the summer.
